Pioneer Farm is located just outside Kidron, Ohio, and is one of the original four farms settled in the area in 1819. Four men purchased a total of half a section of land (320 acres) from James Monroe "President of the United States." Pioneer farm is part of the land that was originally owned by Issac Sommer. The log house was built before 1873 as confirmed by the court atlas, and in 1976, was nominated as a Pioneer home.

Pioneer Farm was purchased in 2006 by sisters Rachel and Deb Geiser and their mother Jean Geiser. It was one of the original four farms settled in the Kidron area. We are currently maintaining 26 raised beds, four traditional gardens, a small apiary, and free-range chickens, organic turkeys, and Banny Hen eggs with plans for expanding our livestock and gardens in the coming years.
Our vision for the future includes offering seminars, great produce and more! We invite suggestions for how we can serve you or your group in ways that encourage Sustainable Agriculture.
